The ASAP Orange Crush also known as the El Outrage or simply Hell Camino, is a limited-production, high performance muscle car design and produced by Maverick Mann of ASAP(Advanced Systems And Performance. The El Outrage project took two and a half years to build and customize.

Designed and built for the independent film “Tucson on Ice” and based on the Chevy  El Camino, the Orange Crush features a modified, highly tuned and customized version of Chevy’s 1970 El Camino 454 SS (Super Sport) with a 502 blown(super charged-eight cylinder engine, lightened body panels, an integrated roll cage (adding chassis stiffness in addition to occupant safety), upgraded air ride suspension and braking systems, a custom-designed transmission, and several unique trim pieces such as exterior mounted gages, and the use of an electric header cut outs so that the hot rod could run “un-capped” from an open header at the touch of a button.

Much attention was given to performance as well as styling considerations, with the body being de-guttered/seam welded and the use of filler panels for the cowl induction hood which was modified to that the 6-71 Weiand blower could tower out from the engine bay.

Developing 850 hp and 920 lb·ft of torque and weighing in it at only 3,580 pounds, the Orange Crush provided stellar performance, with a 0-60 mph time of around 4.5 seconds and a top speed in excess of 170 miles per hour making it one of the fast street El Caminos in the country.

The El Camino received its nickname, "Orange Crush", during shake down testing in Los Angeles by  Heavy Hitters magazine, whose staffers noted how low the car-truck rode down the street with it’s air (bag) ride shocks suspension settings so low that it would crush anything that it might roll over on the Los Angeles surface streets on the day of their photo shoot.
